Coming down with strep throat was not part of my plan this week. Being away from the classroom unexpectedly can make one feel a bit uneasy, especially so early in the school year. As usual, the elementary students put their time to good use & I was thrilled to receive these photo updates from Christy. Some of our elementary students wrote a decimal multiplication problem that was too big for the yellow board: 7,243,609,531,429,467.629845 x 6 ! They created their own extension board and used beads & pegs from other works in the classroom.

 

I'm eager to get back to school and see the product of this huge problem! See you all tomorrow.
